What’s On Wednesday

Hello! Welcome to my first What’s On Wednesday feature. I hope that I help you to add some dates to your diary for family fun days out.

Have you made it to Glasgow Museum Resource Centre yet? They are running some pre-5 sessions through the summer holidays that sound like lots of fun. The events are free but you have to book a space to attend. You can book by phone: 0141 276 9300 or by email: gmrcbookings@glasgowlife.org.uk

Over the summer, GMRC are offering two sessions for pre-5s every Friday

Morning sessions – 11am to 12 noon

Afternoon sessions – 2pm to 3pm

Each week’s sessions will have a different theme:

6th July – Wee Beasties: Explore a world of big bugs and wee beasties in the natural history store

13th July – Flutter by Butterfly: See the butterfly collection then make your own fluttering butterfly

20th July – Wee Knights: What would you wear to fight a dragon? Come and see armour worn by knights long, long ago and feel how heavy a real sword is!

27th July – 5,4,3,2,1…Blast Off! Become a space explorer to take an interactive tour of the store, then make your own rocket.

3rd August – Oh, I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside: Come on a multi-sensory trip to ‘the seaside’. Dig in the sand to uncover some seaside creatures.
