The ABCs of Christmas….. I is for ICICLES

There’s something rather magical about a touch of frost and icicles at this time of year so why not bring the outside in and make your own icicle trim with your little one to hang from a shelf or a cabinet.

This trim is very easy to make and involves a lot of glue and glitter…. who doesn’t love a bit of shimmer and sparkle at Christmas time?!

To make a garland you will need the following:

  • White paper
  • Sticky tape
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Silver or pearl glitter
and you need to do the following:
  • Fold you paper in half lengthways and cut along the fold
  • Stick the 2 pieces together using a piece of tape so you have one long piece of paper
  • Using the pencil draw some icicle drips along the paper

  • Cut the icicles out with the scissors
  • Now give the cut out icicles to your little one to cover with glue and then glitter
  • Once the icicles have dried out you can attach them to a shelf or a window
A nice simple activity to help make your home feel wintry and festive.
