Fun Day Monday

There’s something rather special about receiving a card made by a little one so here is an idea that we wanted to share with you to inspire you to make some cards to give to your loved ones this Christmas.

For these cards you will need the following:

  • Coloured tissue paper – torn into pieces
  • White card
  • PVA glue
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Coloured card – folded into cards
  • Pens
  • Stickers – stars are good
  • Apron

and you need to do the following:

  • Firstly put an apron on your little one as this bit can get messy!
  • Give your little one the pieces of torn tissue paper, the glue and paintbrush and the white card and get your little one to stick the tissue paper on the card. Encourage them to cover it
  • You will now have to let this dry…. why not go and sing some Christmas songs!
  • Once the tissue paper has dried, use the scissors to cut out a number of triangles (big enough to look like a tree!)
  • Stick the triangles onto the front of the card (one per card)
  • Get your little one to draw a tree stump underneath the triangle
  • Now let your little one stick the stickers on the front of the tree to make it look like it has been decorated
  • Write your card to someone special and give it to them for Christmas
