What’s On Wednesday

For this week’s “What’s On Wednesday” I can’t narrow it down to one event as there’s lots of family fun happening at The Merchant City Festival so why not check out the programme and see if there’s anything that would suit you and your family.

The festival is on from Wednesday 24th July to Sunday 28th July and is full of exciting activities taking place across the Merchant City.

“Chisholm Street, Parnie Street and King Street will all come alive with interactive events, spontaneous performances and lots of fun activities.  Join in, try out, enjoy and let your imagination wander! The Tron, Trongate 103 and The Centre for Under 5’s will all be offering exciting family friendly, drop in activities. ”

What’s On Wednesday

Saturday 15th June and Sunday 16th June are the dates for this year’s Mela. Held in Kelvingrove Park, this free event is “Scotland’s biggest multi-cultural festival”.

The Mela is always an extravaganza of music, dance and performances alongside delicious food and eclectic stalls. This two day event is open to all the family and includes a programme of kiddie friendly activities.

Animal Stories at The Burrell

If you’re looking for something to do with the family this weekend why don’t you go to the Burrell Collection on Sunday (22nd April) to hear some animal stories from around the world?

They will be telling stories that relate to lots of the different animals that appear on the objects on display.

This event is on from 2pm – 4pm and is family friendly and free. If you would like more information and directions please go to the Glasgow Life Events Website
