What’s On Wednesday

If you’re at a loose end this Saturday you might want to pop along the the Family Fun Day at the Kinning Park Complex (40 Cornwall Street) from 1pm to 5pm.

Activities throughout the day include:

  • Storytelling and Bookbug sessions
  • Jewellery and craft-making
  • Film screenings
  • Face-painting
  • Outdoor games
  • Free tea and coffee, as well as yummy fruit smoothies will be available to re-charge any flagging adults (and exhausted kids)!


Babies, toddlers, kids, mums, dads, grandparents and everyone else are all welcome and the best part is, it’s free!

Unesco City of Music Family Fun Day

Saturday 28th September 2013 from 10am to 5pm at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall

Come along to see the hall transformed into an enchanted world filled with free performances and activities, suitable for ages 0-12

“TV’s Chris Jarvis tells the classic tale of Peter and the Wolf, performed by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, to headline. a day full of musical treats for the family, including a winter wonderland presented by Owen and Olly and Children’s Classic Concerts and a trip up a beanstalk with the RSNO. Plus facepainting, storytelling, singing, meet the musicians, arts and crafts, workshops and lots more…

Come dressed up as your favourite character – yes, the grown-ups too!”

Sounds the perfect day out for any fairytale and fantasy loving little ones especially if they get to wear their favourite character costumes too!

Taking place in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Saturday 28th September from 10am to 5pm, this music event is sure to be lots of fun. There is going to be lots of family entertainment including TV’s Chris Jarvis who tells the classic tale of Peter and the Wolf.

The day will have lots of FREE activities including face-painting, a treasure hunt, storytelling, singing, meet the musicians, arts and crafts, workshops and two silent discos, one for “Little Monsters” and one for “Heroes and Heroines”.

Dress up in your finest fairytale costume and you could also win a prize on the day.
