If you’re looking for something to do this weekend why don’t you take a trip to the Riverside Museum. From 1.30pm to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday you can create your very own shadow puppet. This event is free and suitable for all the family.

Are you looking for some outdoor fun? Have you heard of “Mini Explorers”? Every Sunday (until 20th October) from 1.30pm to 3.30pm you can participate in an outdoor environmental play session in Queens Park suitable for all of the family.

The group meets at the front doors of the Glasshouse and they play in all weather conditions so please dress appropriately. All children must be accompanied by an adult for this free event.

Any plans for the weekend? If you’re looking for something to do on Sunday 2nd June then why not head down to The Tramway for their Family Day?

“This playful event explores our wild instincts. The Red Shoesinteractive installation takes place in Tramway 1, with workshops and performances across the venue.”

The day starts at 12 noon, and finishes at 4pm, and will feature a variety of activities including performances, music, visual treats and arts and crafts.

This is a free event and you are welcome to drop in at anytime although some activities are on at specific times and have a limited capacity. Activities are suitable for children aged 0-12 years.

Just a quick one today to let you know a date for the diary…..

Every last Friday of the month Hartbeeps are offering free super-sensory sessions at Silverburn in Glasgow at 10.30am and 11.30am.

The sessions feature a mixture of soundscapes, songs and sound play along with lighting effects, the use of innovative props and puppetry….. I’ve not been to a session myself but they sound like fun!

If you have no plans for this Saturday (11th August) you might want to pop along to the West End to attend a Free Entry Gala Day Fundraiser for Yorkhill Hospital for Sick Children, specifically the Children’s Cancer Ward.

The event is on from 11am until 2pm and is at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 35 Julian Avenue, G12 0RB (a 10 minute walk from the Botanic Gardens)

There’s going to be lots of things for every member of the family to enjoy including face painting, a bouncy slide, homebaking, secondhand stall, a barbecue, games and lots more.
