Fun Day Monday….. reading together

There’s something really special about sharing a book with your little one…. we just love storytime here at my childminding service and are often visiting the library to get new books out to share.

As part of Bookstart’s 20 year celebration, I have pledged to share 20 books with the children in my service in 2012 (although we’ll actually share many more than that!) and I thought that for today’s Fun Day Monday you ¬†might like to see our booklist…have you shared any of these books with your little one? Which is your favourite?

World Book Day – Thursday 1st March

Are you doing anything to mark World Book Day? Here in my childminding service we are going to go on a bear hunt using all different materials for an added sensory experience. You don’t have to do anything as adventurous as that, even sharing a favourite book with your child can be a nice way to mark the day. If you want more ideas though I’d strongly recommend going to the World Book Day website¬†and clicking on their resources page and checking out the different ideas and printables there.

Have fun whatever you decide to do and HAPPY READING!!
